"Assemblage and collage have always been really good for me because it's unpredictable - never redundant.  Each one is a new experience and that’s pretty much how I like my life, too.  When I look at the finished art, it is a wonderful reminder for me that even mundane, everyday stuff can be exciting and unexpected.  Then I get to enjoy watching other people's reaction to it.  Maybe it reminds them too that life is not always what we think it’s going to be.  So people are often just a bit puzzled - it tilts your brain a little.  If it makes you laugh, all the better.  Either way I think it's very good for our hearts."
