| FEATURED ARTIST
|
|
The Driftwood Players are pleased to feature the mixed media works by
Puget Sound artist and teacher, Tis Huberth during the run of the musical,
Annie Get Your Gun. While her first love is watercolor, Ms. Huberth has
expanded her materials to include liquid acrylics, inks, metallics, gesso
and collage. Schooled at Cornell University, NY, with graduate studies in
art education at Penn State, she moved to the Puget Sound area in 1974.
A full time artist since 1985, she teaches in her home and for
Daniel Smith, Inc. in Seattle and other locations. Her work is in the
permanent collections of King County, Kent and Renton, and most recently
won a 1st and 4th place in the 2003 Western WA Fair. Ms. Huberth is an
elected member of the Women Painters of Washington, a signature member of
the National Acrylic Painters Association, and is active in several other
artists’ organizations.
