The Driftwood Players are pleased to feature watercolors by artist Clifford
Burkey on display in the theatre lobby during the run of Cat on a Hot Tin
Roof. Mr. Burkey has drawn all of his life, but in the last twenty years he
has devoted himself to art in the watercolor medium. He has served as a
juror in Puget Sound art shows, is a signature member of the Northwest
Watercolor Society, and maintains membership in Seattle Co-Arts. Locally, he
is represented by the Main Street Gallery in Edmonds, and by artists' agent,
Constance E. Smith. In 2002, the Island County calendar included Mr. Burkey's
painting, "Crane Dance," Hasbro Toy Company used "Hydrangea Gala" as a
jigsaw puzzle, and Mr. Burkey had a solo show at Seahurst Gallery, in
Burien.
